Liminal is a dream journaling and self-reflection application designed to help you record, explore, and better understand your dreams. Your dreams are personal, and we believe the information you choose to share with Liminal should be treated with care and respect.

Depending on how you use Liminal, we may collect:

Account Information
Information used to create and maintain your account, such as your email address, account identifier, and authentication information.

Dream Content
Dream journal entries, voice recordings or transcriptions, reflections, prompts, and other information you voluntarily submit to Liminal.

App Usage & Technical Information
Limited information about how the app is used and technical information necessary to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve Liminal. This may include device information, diagnostic information, and interactions with app features.

Subscription & Purchase Information
If you purchase a subscription or other paid feature, payment processing is handled through Apple and/or our subscription-management providers. Liminal does not directly receive or store your full payment-card information.

How We Use Your Information

Information collected through Liminal may be used to:

• Save and display your dream journal.

• Generate dream interpretations, reflections, and personalized insights.

• Provide voice transcription and related app functionality.

• Manage subscriptions and access to paid features.

Your personal dream content is not sold to advertisers.

AI & Third-Party Services

Liminal uses trusted third-party technology providers to deliver certain features, which may include cloud storage and authentication, artificial intelligence, voice transcription, subscription management, notifications, and other infrastructure.

When necessary to provide a feature you request, relevant information may be securely transmitted to these providers for processing.

We require service providers handling user information on our behalf to protect that information appropriately and use it only for the purposes necessary to provide their services.

Dream Interpretations

Liminal uses artificial intelligence to help interpret and explore dream content.

AI-generated interpretations are intended for personal reflection, education, and exploration. They should not be considered medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, or other professional advice.

Data Storage & Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed through Liminal.

However, no digital storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Liminal's services, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the security of the service.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data through the account-deletion features provided within Liminal, where available, or by contacting us.

Upon a valid deletion request, we will delete or anonymize applicable personal information unless we are legally required or permitted to retain certain information.

Your Choices

You may choose what dream content you submit to Liminal.

You may also stop using the service, revoke applicable device permissions through your device settings, or request access to or deletion of your personal information by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

Liminal is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we learn that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Liminal evolves. When significant changes are made, we may update the date at the top of this page or provide additional notice where appropriate.

Continued use of Liminal after an updated policy becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by applicable law.
